Hiraan Governor Ali Jayte Osman, who spoke to the media, said he had been called from Shabelle region in the Somali West and was informed of the deteriorating flood situation.
Jayte expressed concern that the the River could be break its banks by the Shabelle River when the flood could reach the city of Baladweyne at the Hiran Regional Center, which has been flooded several times.
” I urge Hiraan or Baladweyne residents that since much water was added to the Shabelle River by the rains , I do not mean we start moving , but to adopt prevention measures ”said Hiran Governor Ali Jayte Amman.
On the other hand, he spoke about the killings of tribal and civil war in the Hiran region and suggested that talks be completed as youth die everyday .
” I ask that you forgive all the problems that have happened, the brothers who are the players in the war that spread the conflict, you resort to solutions when dozens die and resources are lost, please embrace peace before such loses”.
