In Dhusamareb, heavy fighting is taking place between Galmudug forces backed by the federal government and forces under the command of Sheikh Mohamed Shakir Ali Hassan.

The forces under the command of Sheikh Shakir marched on some neighborhoods in Dhusamareb, and soon after, direct fighting broke out between the government forces and the forces under the control of Sheikh Shakir, according to Mustaqbal local sources.
