Dahir Mohamud Guelleh Speaker of the Union of presidential Candidates who spoke to the Media said they support the political talks on the road to credible elections that will take place 20th May 2021 tomorrow.
Guelleh said different stages were formulated towards revisiting the negotiations that were key to possible elections that took place on the September 17, 2020 and negotiations with federal officials whose legal mandates ended legal period, federal member states and Banadir State.
“The Union of Candidates supports the Prime Minister’s decision to hold elections and talks but he does not advance individual interest. we are optimistic about the promised dialogue and must be attended by candidates, civil societies, governance experts. The negotiations table should be made more inclusive, ”said Dahir Mohamud Guelleh.
Candidate Dahir Mohamud Guelleh said he believes their council will be involved in the talks as they are part of the political players and electoral process.
He spoke further and said, “The Prime Minister has demonstrated commitment. We want the negotiations to be successful”.
