Twenty presidential candidates to address parliamentarians today with each candidate given 15 minutes to table their manifestos.

Twenty candidates for the presidency of the 10th Federal Government of Somalia today is expected to addresses the House of Representatives at the Afisioni Tent in Mogadishu.

In a statement, the join parliamentary committee assigned to organise the presidential poll confirmed that 39 candidates had been registered among them the incumbent, former presidents, ex-PMs, a female candidate, former Mogadishu mayor and former AP journalist.

According to the list released by the committee, 20 presidential hopfuls including immediate former prime minister, Hassan Ali Kheire today be given 15 minutes to table their manifestations and convince the joint parliament.The Joint Committee of the two Houses of the Federal Parliament for the 10th Presidential Election urged the candidates to adhere to the time allotted for their speeches.

“Candidates’ speeches begin at the Aficio Tent. Each candidate is scheduled for 15 minutes. Everyone has to be punctual, and it is very important that everyone is held accountable at that time.” JFS Presidential Election Commission.

The second part of the Federal Government of Somalia’s 10th Presidential Candidates’ Speech will take place on Thursday 12 May 2022, after which the Parliament is preparing for the Presidential election which will take place on 15 May 2022.
