The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre, is scheduled to travel to Las-Anod today, the headquarters of the Bari Administration.
Security in the city has reportedly been heightened as preparations to warmly welcome the Prime Minister continue.
Security personnel responsible for the Prime Minister had visited Las-Anod yesterday and taken charge of safety around the areas he is expected to visit.
The security authorities of the Bari Administration issued directives aimed at strengthening safety, including the temporary suspension of traffic in certain parts of the city measures that affect the movement of the Prime Minister’s delegation.
This trip will mark Hamza Abdi Barre’s third visit to Las-Anod. He is expected to hold meetings with officials from the Bari Administration and to officially cut the ribbon of the Somali National Army facilities located there.
Security in Las-Anod has been significantly improved, with additional checks and tighter coordination among local authorities and the Prime Minister’s security team to ensure public safety during his visit.
