SSC Khaatumo Firmly Denounces Puntland FMS Territorial Claims on Sool and Ceyn

The administration of SSC Khaatumo has expressed serious concerns regarding recent statements from Puntland regarding the denial of recognition for the regions of Sool and Ceyn.

In a brief statement, SSC Khaatumo’s Vice President, Mohamed Abdi Ismail emphasized that no one can undermine the existence of the SSC Khaatumo administration.

“It is unfortunate that the statement from the Puntland Ministry of Internal Affairs has been made. The SSC Khaatumo administration is a government that is part of the federal system of the country, and no one should be allowed to question its existence,” said the Vice President of SSC Khaatumo.

Ismail described Puntland’s remarks as unfortunate, asserting that SSC Khaatumo is a legitimate government that is part of the federal system in Somalia. He firmly stated that the existence of SSC Khaatumo should not be questioned by any party.

The Vice President highlighted the importance of recognizing the legitimacy of their administration, stating that any attempt to dispute their recognition is unacceptable. He reiterated that SSC Khaatumo will not tolerate any challenges to its sovereignty.

These statements come in response to Puntland’s declaration that Sool and Ceyn are part of its territory, indicating that it does not recognize the SSC Khaatumo administration. This disagreement adds to the ongoing tensions in the region.

As the situation develops, the SSC Khaatumo administration remains steadfast in its position, calling for respect and acknowledgment of their governance and the rights of the communities they represent.
