Somaliland Police Chief orders security forces to take appropriate actions against Gaal-Libaah Rebellion group

Somaliland Police Commander Major General Mohamed Adan Saqadhi has instructed Somaliland forces to take appropriate action against the Gaal-Libaah Rebellion group in the mountain, which has engaged in a fierce battle with the RRU’s specially trained forces.

Major Mohamed Saqadhi said that the police forces have regulated all means to avoid a direct fight with the armed rebel group who are called the Gaal-Libaah Rebellion group in the mountain but the rebellious group have crossed all the security measures put in place.

Somaliland police commander Mohamed Adan Saqadhi said that security forces have died in the last battle that took place yesterday in the Gaan-Liba mountain. He called it unfortunate that the peace they have enjoyed for years is destroyed within a short period of time.

“From now on, the police force has the authority to take the appropriate action against those rebel group, they won’t watch, their duty is not to solve anything that causes problems , the police force is enough to protect the people, while the army will swiftly respond” Somaliland Police Chief Mohamed Aden Saqadhi.

The Somaliland Police Command deployed additional troops this morning to the last areas where the conflicts happened to ensure security, according to the leading officials. This move has instilled fear that a new conflict would break out there.
