Reports from the Lower Shabelle region indicate that there is tension today in Yaqbariweyne area of the region which has recently experienced clash between armed Militias and South West Regional Forces.
Sources in the Yaqbariweyne area indicate that the situation in the area is now very tense, and there is a fear of possible clash in the area between the South West forces and armed militias.
The South West Regional Forces are planning to take control of Yaqbariweyne area, which most of its area is currently under the control of the armed militias.
It was two days ago when the South West army and the armed militias fought in that area, and it was reported that the clash has led to several casualties from both warring sides.
The fighting in Yaaqbariweyne is said to be based on collection of tax from local residents by armed militias in the area, while the South West Regional Forces are against the money that the armed militias collect from the local residents.
