The election of # HOP060, which has been occupied by Ubah Tahliil Farah for the past few years, was contested by four women candidates, and a difficult run-off was held in the second round.
In the first round, two candidates were left out Hodan Abdullahi Shire received 17 votes and Ayaan Hussein Hassan received 8 votes, while two candidates proceed to next round Ubah Tahliil Warsame received 44 votes and Qaali Ali Shire received 32 votes. .
The seat # HOP060 in the House of the People was won by Qaali Ali Shire with 61 votes, while Ubah Tahliil Warsame who has been in the seat for the past few years got 40 votes.
Elections for the 11th House of the People were scheduled to take place in the early hours of Monday morning, but were delayed by several hours due to a dispute over the selected delegates among some candidates.
