Somalia: Minister of Internal Security appointed as Somalia’s Ambassador to Qatar

The Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia Dr Mohamed Ahmed Sheikh Ali (Doodishe) has been appointed as the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Qatar.

Minister Doodishe attended the last meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Federal Government of Somalia today, and bid goodbye to some of the Cabinet Ministers who attended the weekly meeting of the Council.

The Minister for Women and Human Rights Development of the Federal Government of Somalia, Khadija Mohamed Diriye, who posted on her official Facebook page, said, “The former Minister of Internal Security of the federal government of Somalia is now our Ambassador to Doha Qatar to represent the government of Somalia.”

Minister Khadija’s statement comes at a time when Prime Minister Hamza is expected to reshuffle the Council of Ministers but it is not known whether Khadija Mohamed Diriye will have an impact on the new reshuffle.

It is not clear who will be appointed to the position vacated by the Minister of Internal Security of the Federal Government of Somalia Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Sheikh Ali (Doodishe), and the Prime Minister of the Government is expected who to appoint the Minister of Internal Security who will do the replacement.
