Somalia launches manufacturing investment report to attract investors and boost industrial growth

Somalia’s Investment Promotion Office, Invest Somalia, has launched a new Priority Sector Investment Report highlighting investment opportunities in the country’s manufacturing sector, as part of efforts to attract investors and accelerate industrial development.

The report provides a roadmap for mobilizing domestic and foreign investment, expanding manufacturing, creating employment opportunities and strengthening Somalia’s industrial competitiveness.

According to Invest Somalia, the publication identifies key opportunities across the manufacturing sector and aims to provide investors with reliable market intelligence to support informed investment decisions.

Speaking during the launch, Invest Somalia Director Mohamed Dubo said the sectoral investment reports demonstrate the agency’s commitment to improving the investment climate and unlocking the country’s economic potential.

“These sectoral investment reports reinforce our commitment to providing investors with credible market insights and unlocking opportunities,” Dubo said.

Officials said the report forms part of broader efforts to diversify Somalia’s economy, promote value-added production and encourage private sector-led growth.

The initiative is expected to support the Federal Government’s economic transformation agenda by attracting investment into manufacturing, boosting industrial productivity and generating jobs while enhancing Somalia’s competitiveness in regional and international markets.
