Somalia: Jubbaland Dervishes forces Establish New Bases in Lower Juba Amid intensified operations

The Jubbaland Regional Government Dervishe forces which has intensified its operations against AS fighters has reportedly established new bases in Lower Juba Region.

Various close and confidant sources indicated that in areas in the North of Lower Jubba Region of the Jubbaland Regional Government, there have been a brief battles between the regional troops and AS fighters.

The commander of the second battalion of the Daravish forces of the Jubbaland Regional Government, Major General Mohamud Abdi Ilmooge, who spoke to military forces commended their bravery and encouraged them to redouble their efforts and increase their operations to liberate the region.

Ilmooge indicated that the leaders of the Jubbaland State Government are fully supporting the forces and they are encouraging the forces to increase their operations in order to liberate the remaining areas in the region from Al-Shabab fighters.

The Jubbaland Regional Government has recently been working on the preparation of special trained federal forces to conduct joint operations against Al-Shabab fighters in the Middle Juba region as planned.

This move to establish new bases marks a crucial step in Somalia’s efforts to secure its territories from militant groups .

The forces are now focused on furthering their offensive against Al-Shabaab, aiming to consolidate gains and ensure stability in the strategically important region of Lower Juba.
