Somalia: Howlwadaag District Commissioner asks Banadir Region Administration to the reconstruct major road intersections in Mogadishu that were cut off by floods

The Commissioner of Howlwadaag District Bashir Abdi Mohamed has asked the Banadir Region administration to reconstruct the road that connects major intersections in Mogadishu.

Bashir said that alot of work need to be done on that road as everytime it rains the road become waterlogged and impassable for the road users and movement of traffic becomes difficult.

He said that the reason why it was difficult to remove the sand and debris caused by the rain on the road that left a negative impact on the users was that they were waiting for the wet soil to dry and it was finally removed late last night.

“We are asking for a serious work to be done on this road. We are asking the Mayor of Mogadishu to work on how to make a full construction because it does not only need to be repaired. With the help of our community, we will take it as much as we can” said the Chairman of Howladaag District Bashir Abdi Mohamed.

Some roads in Mogadishu were affected by the heavy rains that fell in Mogadishu on April 28, 2023.Some of them were covered with sand from the flood.
