Somalia: Construction of Solar-Powered Streetlights begun in Qeydaro, Galmudug

Construction of solar-powered street lights today , Wednesday begun in Qeydaro town in Somalia’s Galmudug State as part of a stabilization plan to support local communities and boost business opportunities.

Galmudug State launched the street lights project that would lead to the installation of streetlights powered by solar in Qeydaro town

While launching the project, officials commended the huge potential it presents in improving security in the local village and boosting of the business in the areas.

The residents applauded the project which contributes greatly to bringing light to the town. The officials reiterated the government’s support and appreciated the contributions to local communities for cooperation.
