Somalia’s Cabinet of Ministers chaired by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre, approved the appointment of 12 new ambassadors and 2 consuls in an extraordinary meeting held on Tuesday night.
The newly appointed diplomats are set to represent Somalia in various countries, although the specific postings were not disclosed. This appointment marks the third such initiative by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud since his election in May 2022.
