Somali top leaders makes impromptu visit to liido beach last night, interacts with residents

The Prime Minister of the federal government of Somalia Hamza Abdi Barre and the presidents of Galmudug, Jubbaland and Hir Shabelle states went to Lido beach in Mogadishu last night.

Hamza Abdi Barre and the three regional state leaders spent time with the Somali people who were celebrating on the Lido beach, which reflects the peace and stability in the country’s capital, Mogadishu.

The visit of the prime minister and the regional state leaders was also accompanied by the governor of Banadir region and ministers of the federal government of Somalia, including the minister of interior affairs.

Ahmed Qor-Qor, Ali Guudlawe and Ahmed Madobe have been in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu for the last few days, where they attended the National Consultative Council meeting which was concluded on Friday.

A communique has been released following the conclusion of Somalia’s 9th National Consultative Council meetings held in the capital city of Mogadishu.The meeting focused on several key issues, including security stabilization efforts, countering Al-Shabab insurgency, constitutional review and amendment, and other constitutional matters.

The communique, comprising three main points, highlighted the agreements reached among the parties, including Enhancing security and combating terrorism, Accelerating the constitutional review process and strengthening democratization, and Humanitarian issues.

Somalia’s capital Mogadishu’s security has improved in recent months, with the security agencies taken serious steps towards the improvement of the security in the capital ,Mogadishu.

The president of the federal government of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has urged leaders to prioritize security enhancements as part of broader efforts to ensure the safety and stability of Mogadishu and its surrounding areas.
