Somali boxer Ramla Said Ahmed Ali, known as Ramla Ali, has arrived in Somalia’s capital,Mogadishu today after achieving significant success in international competitions representing her country.
At Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu, she was warmly welcomed by a crowd that included government officials and local citizens. Speaking to the media, Ramla expressed her gratitude to those who came out to greet her.
Ramla Ali was born in Mogadishu on September 16, 1989, and holds dual nationality with the United Kingdom. Throughout her boxing career, she has participated in 11 fights or tournaments, winning 9 of them.
Her achievements in the ring not only highlight her personal dedication and talent but also serve as an inspiration for aspiring athletes in Somalia. Ramla’s success is a testament to the growing presence of female athletes in a sport traditionally dominated by men.
As she returns home, Ramla Ali aims to continue promoting boxing in Somalia and encouraging young women to pursue their dreams in sports.
