SoDMA Dispatches Aid to Drought-Stricken Gedo Region.

In response to the devastating effects of the La Niña-induced drought, Somalia’s National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) has dispatched two aircraft carrying vital food relief shipments to Garbaharey, the provincial capital of the Gedo region. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the agency to provide much-needed assistance to vulnerable communities affected by prolonged dry conditions across the country.

The two planes landed in Garbaharey on Friday afternoon , delivering essential supplies aimed at alleviating the suffering of thousands of residents grappling with food insecurity and water shortages.
