Prime Minister Roble meets with Elwak MPs

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble has held a dinner meeting with the newly elected members of the House of the People in Elwaq district in Gedo region of Jubbaland state.

The Prime Minister congratulated the MPs on their national responsibility and urged them to serve their country effectively.

For their part, the 16 MPs from Elwaq district thanked the Prime Minister for his role in the election and for the conduct of the two Houses of the Somali Parliament in general and for his efforts.

Parliamentarians elected in Elwaq district of Gedo region have been strongly opposed by Villa Somalia, especially outgoing President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, but Speaker of Parliament Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur (Madobe) has legitimized them.
