President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has addressed the traditional elders of Galmudug in Dhusamareb, discussing the need to intensify efforts in the war against Al-Shabaab.
During the special meeting held last night, the President urged the elders to play a significant role in educating and mobilizing the people of Galmudug to support the national armed forces in their fight against the Al-Shabaab group.
The President emphasized the challenge of corruption in the region and highlighted the importance of unity and government support to overcome it.
The traditional elders expressed their commitment to assist in removing Al-Shabaab from Galmudug and the entire country.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will temporarily lead operations from Dhusamareb in an effort to counter Al-Shabaab in both Galmudug and Hirshabelle areas.
