Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Sunday held talks with Kenyan President William Ruto during a one-day working visit to Kenya, focusing on bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
According to a statement from Villa Somalia, the meeting took place in Narok County and centered on issues of mutual interest between the two neighboring countries.
The two leaders reviewed the longstanding relationship between Somalia and Kenya and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in key areas, including peace, security, stability, and sustainable development across the Horn of Africa.
Villa Somalia said President Hassan Sheikh and President Ruto “discussed ways to enhance collaboration and deepen the partnership between the two countries in support of regional prosperity and shared development goals” .
The visit comes amid ongoing efforts by both nations to strengthen diplomatic ties and address common regional challenges through cooperation and dialogue.
