The Armed Front for the Liberation of the Oromo, abbreviated as OLF, has issued a statement opposing the Ethiopia, Somaliland agreement under which Ethiopia would get a sea gateway that would enable it to build a port and a military base in exchange for recognising Somaliland as an independent state.
OLF expressed its full respect for the unity and sovereignty of the Federal Republic of Somalia over its entire territory and its opposition to any actions that would undermine Somali sovereignty and OLF opposed the move and term the agreement as illegal.
A statement from the OLF Front said that it respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia, therefore the actions taken by Abiy Ahmed are independent from their side.
The news from the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) said that Abiy Ahmed’s attempt to provoke a reaction is aimed at misrepresenting the problems he has caused in Ethiopia and uncalled for as it breaches International laws.
The OLF has said that it will not find shelter for Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed who intends to withdraw and scapes the problems he has caused to the people of Ethiopia on the subject of the maritime agreement.

The government of Abiy Ahmed has committed various atrocities in Ethiopia since November 2020 after the commanding forces launched a direct attack on the Tigray Autonomous Region where the country has been put in chaos and life conditions.
