National Disaster Management Agency Dispatches Aid to Galmudug State

The National Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) has sent 25 trucks loaded with essential aid supplies to Galmudug State as part of its ongoing efforts to support vulnerable populations across Somalia.

The aid is destined for 13 families residing in recently recovered remote areas within the state. Commissioner Mahamuud Moallim, accompanied by senior officials, personally oversaw the departure of the convoy from Mogadishu.

The supplies, which include food, water, and other essential items, are expected to alleviate the immediate needs of families affected by the conflict and displacement in the area. The operation reflects SoDMA’s broader mission to address humanitarian challenges and support communities across Somalia.

Local authorities in Galmudug have expressed gratitude for the timely assistance, emphasizing that it will make a significant difference in the lives of those who have endured hardship in remote and underserved areas.

This initiative is part of a wider campaign to strengthen recovery and stabilization efforts in regions recently liberated from insurgents. SoDMA continues to coordinate closely with local governments and humanitarian partners to ensure aid reaches those most in need.
