Jubbaland: Gen. Dhumaal says region prepared for an operation against AS.

The Minister of Security Jubbaland Gen. Yusuf Hussein Osman Dhumal who spoke to the media said that the Darwish forces of the State Government and the Federal Government are ready for operations against AS.

Dhumal said that Jubbaland is determined to take control of the areas that are controlled by AS, the ongoing organization is done against AS so as to capture the areas under their control.

Gen. Yusuf Dhumal pointed out that the Minister of Defense and the Commander of the Armed Forces met with the President of the Jubbaland State, Ahmed Mohamed Islam Madobe, Federal officials and officials of the State Government and discussed the implementation of operations.

Minister of Defense of federal government of Somalia Abdul Qadir Mohamed Noor Jama said that the operations against Alshabab ongoing in other regional governments is important for Jubbaland so as to fight together so as to eliminate the enemy.

“In general, there are operations against the AS group in the country. We observed the general situation in Jubbaland. This area is important for that war. We discussed how to liberate the areas of the Jubbaland State Government that are in the hands of the enemy.” Defense Minister said.

The leaders of Jubbaland have several times announced operations against AS to control the areas that are not in the regional government but they have not yet started those operations.

The war against Al-Shabaab group has intensified in various regions across the country and all security forces of the government as well as ATMIS has been supporting the ongoing operations in various ways.
