China sends Somali Coast Guard ships.

The Chinese government dispatched the 38th ship, along with The Naval Liberation Army to the Somali Coast Guard on Saturday May 15, 2021 to deploy civilian merchant ships.

The ship sailed from the Chinese military port of Zhejiang and landed in Zhejiang Province, carrying helicopters, destroyers and fast boats.

They are operating in the Gulf of Aden Somalia waters to transmit civilian vessels to trade services from different countries and continents.

The extension of China’s mission came after the Beijing government’s concern over the operation of vessels in the waters forcing the shipment of military equipment.

It is the biggest mission of the People’s Republic of China in Somalia since December 2008 when there was the launch of its Somali Water and International Maritime Mission, at a time increased piracy.
