Body of a Somalia spy officer found dumbed in a garbage pit in Mogadishu

Mohamed Muktaar Mohamed Deqow, a member of  The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA ) army who recently joined the National guard’s long-standing army was found dead in a garbage pit near the General Kahiye (Polisiyo School) in Mogadishu.

There was division among the army following the extension of Farmaajo’s term and rival groups were formed as a result of the acrimony that was surrounding the term extension. Deeqoow was a member of the army who was part of those opposed to the term extension of Somali Federal government.

Deqow, according to  close individuals was recently called by the agency after a  resolution was reached from the crisis in Mogadishu between security forces caused by the extension of Farmaajo’s term by the Somali Parliament.

Shocking vedio and images of the deceased’s body  show him don in a military uniform and dumbed on a garbage pit.

One of the relatives of the deceased who spoke to the Mustaqbal told us that they had no any information on their son’s whereabouts before they were told that his body was found in a garbage near General Kaahiye’s army camp.

An individual who spoke  to Mustaqbal on condition of anonymity for security reasons, has accused government officials of “hunting the army and officers who have been against the extention of Farmaajo’s term ”  even though Mustaqbal is yet to establish  who was involved in the killing of the soldier.

“Death is so painful for  my brother who I loved most of the whole world. mohamed muktar mohamed. May Allah’s mercy be upon you. You were killed by unjust hand. May Allah widen  the grave for you. May you receive your book on  your right hand, ” he said in his condolences Facebook post.

On 5th May,2021, the council of presidential Candidates and interim Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Rooble signed an agreement to dismantle the confrontation of army in Mogadishu that was borne out of President Farmaajo’s extension of time. There was high tension as the army were divided by the decision by the lower house to extend Farmaajo’s term.

Item number two (2) of the Convention signed after the stalemate states that   “the rights of such forces as: wages, grades and promotion in terms of responsibilities should not have any relationship on the crisis in Mogadishu and their position on the incident should never be basis of such consideration and cannot be a disciplinary question or conferment of future benefits ”

None of the government and opposition officials has spoken out against the killing of Mohamed Muqtaar Deeqoow , a member of the army who was part of those opposed to the term extension of Somali Federal government.
