The federal government forces are conducting intensified operations against AS in the areas of Bay in the South West and Gedo of the Jubbaland State Government, and this planned operations was specifically carried out by the 8th Battalion of the 60th Division.
During their operation, the troops went to the areas of Bay and Gedo regions,The Commander of the 47th Brigade of the 8th Division of the 60th Division said that the objective of the planned operations was achieved.
The Commander of the 47th Brigade of the 8th Division of the 60th Division of the Land, Ahmed Mohamed Noor, famously known as Ahmed Dhagey told the media that these joint operations will continue with the cooperation of the Federal Army and the Deravishes of the two regional governments and will focus on the full liberation of the remaining areas.
In recent times, there have been tough operations against the AS in areas of the Jubbaland and South West Regional Governments, the Federal Army officers and the Deravishes promise to continue the operations indicating preliminary success since the start of the joint operations.
These operations are part of the ongoing government’s fight against Al-Shabaab which is going on in most of the regions of the country which is aimed to liberate the country from AS fighters.
