DANAB Special Forces successfully eliminated members of the Al-Shabab group during a strategic operation in the Lower Juba region of Somalia.
The operation, led by the 5th unit commander Arab Dheeq Ahmed, thwarted the plans of these militants, who were aiming to attack Federal and Jubbaland Darawish bases.
In the engagement, 7 Al-Shabab fighters were neutralized by the combined efforts of DANAB forces and Jubbaland State Government Dervishes.
These operations are part of ongoing efforts to free more regions from Al-Shabab’s control, with recent activities carried out after the African Union ATMIS soldiers vacated their bases in the country.
