Somalia: Minister of Foreign Affairs and his counterpart in UAE hold joint talks to strengthen relations.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the federal government of Somalia, Abshir Omar Haruse, met in Dubai with his counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The meeting that took place in Abu Dhabi, was discussed how to improve and boost the relationship between their countries.

They also exchanged several ideas regarding the region and the international issues related to the two countries of Somalia and the United Arab Emirates

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation praised the UAE government for its continuous support to Somalia and its people, wishing the UAE progress and prosperity.

He also confirmed that Somalia is very interested in enhancing its cooperation with the UAE, praising the leadership of the UAE at the regional and international level.

The cooperation with other partner countries contributes to the development of key issues that are of importance for young people, youth work and youth policy. This cooperation also contributes to the development of communities and the relations between allied and cooperating countries.
