Dr. Hassan Osman isse was today assassinated in Mogadishu . Hassan Osman Isse, popularly known as Dr Burane, was a dermatologist and one of Somalia’s most prominent doctors.<\/p>\n
It’s\u00a0 reported that a group of armed militants killed\u00a0 the doctor in his\u00a0 house which is near a local restaurant Caynushami Al-Baraka.<\/p>\n
The doctor, who also worked at the Burane clinic which he founded, is said to have been a doctor who provided free medical care to the poor in Mogadishu and was one of the few doctors who did not leave the country during the civil war.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0 responsibility for his\u00a0 killing is yet to be claimed although similar assassinations are on the rise in Mogadishu.<\/p>\n
A similar case took place\u00a0 last week where Mohamed Abdi Ahmed who\u00a0 was the district commissioner of Hamar Ja-jab in Mogadishu was assassinated.<\/p>\n
