Somalia\u2019s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has accused forces affiliated with former President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed of involvement in activities that threaten national security, vowing not to compromise on maintaining public safety.<\/p>\n
In a statement, NISA said it had documented three security-related incidents involving armed personnel allegedly operating under the command of the former president.<\/p>\n
The incidents reportedly occurred in the Wadajir and Waaberi districts of Mogadishu.<\/p>\n
According to NISA, evidence gathered by the agency indicates that armed militiamen carrying AK-47 rifles, BKM machine guns and RPG launchers forcibly entered houses in the Tiintiinley neighbourhood of Wadajir district.<\/p>\n

NISA said it would not allow its personnel to be drawn into political disputes, stressing that its responsibility to protect citizens and maintain security remained paramount.<\/p>\n
