The Office of the Auditor General of Somalia (OAGS) and the Turkish Court of Accounts (TCA) have completed the third phase of their cooperation programme, with the latest phase focusing on information systems auditing.<\/p>\n
The programme was held in Ankara, T\u00fcrkiye, from August 17 to 21, 2026, with support from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (T\u0130KA).<\/p>\n
According to OAGS, the training covered “information systems risk assessment, audit methodologies and procedures, information security, data analytics and the use of artificial intelligence in auditing” .<\/p>\n
The programme also provided an “opportunity for professionals from the two Supreme Audit Institutions to exchange experiences and discuss practical approaches to information systems auditing” .<\/p>\n
Experts from the Turkish Court of Accounts shared their methodologies and practical experience with the Somali delegation, using examples drawn from the institution\u2019s audit work.<\/p>\n
As part of the programme, the OAGS delegation also visited the headquarters of HAVELSAN in Ankara, where it was introduced to the company\u2019s work and advanced technological systems.<\/p>\n
OAGS said the latest phase of the cooperation agreement would contribute to strengthening professional capacity in information systems auditing and expanding the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two institutions.<\/p>\n
The Somali audit office expressed appreciation to the Turkish Court of Accounts and T\u0130KA for their support, hospitality and contribution to the implementation of the programme.<\/p>\n
