During the meeting, the two sides discussed the ongoing military operations against extremist groups in Hirshabelle, which have dealt significant blows to terrorist elements in the region.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Richard, accompanied by Col. Norris, the head of the U.S. Mission\u2019s operations coordination team in Somalia, expressed gratitude to President Guudlaawe for accepting the meeting despite the challenging security situation.<\/p>\n
