The President of the federal government of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud while in Asmara, Eritrea has today visited units of the Somali National Army’s Air Force who are receiving special training at the Eritrean Air Force Headquarters in Asmara<\/p>\n
Several Somali soldiers had completed a military training in Eritrea and have joined the ongoing tough operations in the country aimed at eradicating security threats, notably from Al-Shabab fighters who are threat to the security of Somalia.<\/p>\n
The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with the President of Eritrea, H.E Isaias Afwerki at the Asmara State House last night where the two leaders hold discussions of mutual interests.<\/p>\n
The two leaders discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations across political, security, military, economic, cultural, and social sectors between the two countries.<\/p>\n
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has expressed gratitude for Eritrea’s support in several sectors including security describing it as a signal of strong solidarity with the somali community and their nation.<\/p>\n
President Afweki on his side highlighted the existing relationship and bond between the two countries indicating the need to maintain the strong bond for the benefit of both nations.<\/p>\n
