President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo on sunday night delivered a surprise speech, which appeared to be in the form of a re-election campaign, explaining the way his government had functioned during his tenure. The president also welcomed the outcome of the national consultative meeting which was concluded two days ago in Mogadishu, calling on the authorities to abide by the agreement reached.<\/p>\n
The president whose term ended is known to have openly opposed the National Consultative Assembly meeting chaired by Prime Minister Roble , opening another consultative meeting, which ultimately failed. So, what compelled Farmajo to accept the outcome of the conference he reject it?<\/p>\n
Politician Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame, a candidate for the presidency of Somalia, said President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo was facing internal and external pressures, which forced him to welcome the outcome of a conference he opposed led by Prime Minister Mohamed. Hussein Rooble.<\/p>\n
According to Abdirahman, President Farmajo is trying to follow the strength and strong wave of the people of the country, after failing in his last attempt to seize power.<\/p>\n
“Do not be surprised when Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo buys. He will never accept a free and fair election led by Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble. “He is working to lure and distribute bribes to politicians he thinks he can earn And he is buying is time,” he said.<\/p>\n
He also said that Farmajo’s speech last night was to satisfy and convince from the international community and a new conspiracy that is undermining the governance process and the country’s electoral process.<\/p>\n
“His statement has not been taken seriously. He is the man who ousted the caretaker Prime Minister and is now issuing a letter to his office. He is the man who says in the afternoon the prime minister is fine and at night he writes a letter saying he has failed in his job. ”<\/p>\n
Farmajo spent most of his speech last night reporting on his government’s rebuilding of the Armed Forces, praising them for their self-sacrificing defense of the country and their fight against terrorist groups that are accustomed to shedding blood and destroying public property of Somali people.<\/p>\n
