Eight people were killed and two others injured in a car bomb blast in Ba’adweyne, Mudug region.<\/p>\n
Those who died in the afternoon blast included three children, aged between three and five.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a car carrying young khat traders on its way to Amara area was also hit by an explosion, and three people, including a woman, were reportedly injured in the blast.<\/p>\n
These areas have recently been liberated from strong presence of Al-Shabaab militants and there have been ongoing operations against Al-Shabaab.<\/p>\n
It was just days ago when two civilians were also killed in an explosion in Qaycad area of \u200b\u200bMudug region.<\/p>\n
Government and Galmudug forces have removed many landmines from the roads, but some roads remain the hidden danger.<\/p>\n
An explosion on the 7th of this month targeted a convoy of vehicles carrying the ground commander Gen. Mohamed Tahliil Bihi, on his way to Qeycad in the region, where one soldier was killed and five others were wounded.<\/p>\n
