Its the second day of the talks between the Prime Minister of Somalia, the heads of states and Banadir region head to discuss the Somali elections.<\/p>\n
The opening of the conference took place calmly with Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Rooble presiding it\u00a0 having taken\u00a0 over on May 1, 2021 the responsibility on security and elections following talks that ended the dispute over the term extension of the\u00a0 National Assembly.<\/p>\n
A spokesman for the Somali government said\u00a0 there were no issues so far in yesterday’s meeting that were agreed upon upon by the Federal government, member States and Banadir authorities but he expressed optimism that a positive outcome would be achieved at the negotiating table.<\/p>\n
This national consultation conference on national elections was different from previous meetings as it was preceded by separate meetings to set stage for the opening of special meeting by the Prime Minister of Somalia federal government with State governments urging them to support\u00a0 him with serious responsibility he was tasked with on the holding of elections and Security docket.<\/p>\n
