Somalia: Unknown Gunmen shot and injure a father and son in massive robbery in Mogadishu

There are various close confidant reports of an attack carried out by unknown armed gangs last night in Garasbaaley district of Banadir region, which targeted civilians.

This attack reportedly took place in the Iga-Dabagey of Garasbaaley district, and the target was reportedly a shop there, according to official sources.

The bandits entered a shop and cause a massive robbery, injuring a boy and his father who were in the shop at the time.

The wounded a boy and his father are currently undergoing treatment in one of the hospitals in Mogadishu, as relatives of the victims demanding justice, as two people were injured and their property was robbed.

The reports adds that the bandits who committed the ugly acts fled from the scene, and there is no official reports from the district administration or security officials regarding the incident.

This attack is similar to the one that happens to the Somalis living in South Africa who are often robbed and killed by gangs in the country.

Targeting shops is a new phenomenon in Mogadishu, and the reports has sent shockwaves to the residents living in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu.

Mogadishu residents have recently witnessed significant improvements in security measures, particularly at checkpoints throughout the city .Analysts attribute the positive changes as results by the close cooperation of the residents and security agencies.
