The Galmudug Electoral Commission (GEC) has today elected Mohamed Dahir Guled.
Galmudug State Indirect Election Implementation Committee (SEIT)has nominated Traditional Elders & Civil Society Members to select the Delegates for the 5 Seats in the House of the People.
The seats ,HOP # 001, HOP # 013, HOP # 101, HOP # 017 & HOP # 060 whose Constituency Election in Galkayo, the capital of Mudug region, will be held on March 6, 2022 on Sunday.
HOP # 001: Warsame Mohamed Hassan Jodah is the current occupant of the seat.
HOP # 013: occupied by Maryan Mohamed Hussein.
HOP # 101: occupied by Hirsi Adan Roble.
HOP # 017: occupied by Duniya Mohamed Ali.
HOP # 060: occupied by Ubah Tahliil Warsame.
SEIT Galmudug has removed HOP # 020 from the list of MPs, which was submitted by the committee at the same time, but did not say the reasons as to why the seat was postponed
The lower house elections are scheduled to be concluded by 15th March which is the new deadline after the previous 25th February could not be achieved.
