Somalia opens second annual conference to improve coordination in Social Services

Somalia’s Second Deputy Prime Minister, Jibril Abdirashid Haji Abdi, has opened the second annual government-level coordination conference on social services in Mogadishu.

The conference brings together government institutions to strengthen cooperation between the Federal Government and Federal Member States in the delivery of social services.

Speaking at the opening, Jibril said effective coordination was essential to implementing the 2025–2029 National Transformation Plan and improving access to quality social services, particularly for vulnerable communities.

He urged government agencies to strengthen accountability and ensure proper follow-up on government decisions, stressing the need for closer institutional cooperation to improve service delivery.
