The President of Hir-Shabelle Ali Gudlawe Hussein started meetings in Baladweyne, the capital of Hiraan Region, with the aim of several agendas including speeding up the operations against AS, finding a solution to grievances raised against his administration and strengthening cooperation.
Ali Guudlawe Hussein held a special meeting with officials including the Governor of Hiraan Region Ali Jeyte Osman, Federal Army officers, organised local forces known as Mawiisleyda and ATMIS.
The President of Hir-Shabeelle discussed with the officials about the acceleration of the second phase of the operations against “AS” in order to take control of the areas where Al-Shabaab are still present under control, according to the statement of President Ali Guudlawe Hussein.
The officials shared the experiences they have learned from the operations that has been going on for several months in Hiran and Middle Shabelle Regions, which are the two regions that make up the Hir-Shabelle Regional Government.
As Mustaqbal quoted sources close to the meeting, the President of Hir-Shabelle Ali Gudlawe Hussein and other officials of different levels are going on a trip to the areas liberated from AS to see the changes and the situation of those areas.
The security meetings and the fight against ‘AS’ are discussed along with the visit of the areas liberated from AS by the President as several grievances were submitted to him on different occasions regarding life and social services.
