The Federal Government of Somalia has today repatriated 164 Somali nationals who had been trapped and experiencing hardships in Libya for years.
Top government officials including Minister of Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, Information, Petroleum, Security, the Chief of Police, and the envoy of the President’s Office for Immigration and Children’s Rights welcomed the 164 young Somali nationals at the Aden Adde international airport in Mogadishu this morning.
109 of the youths has landed in Mogadishu, while 55 others arrived in Hargeisa on Thursday morning.
The officials from federal government of Somalia indicated that they are making efforts to free other young Somali youths who are in prisons in Libya.
Hundreds of young people are facing a difficult situations in Libya, who were intending to travel to Europe, but they are being apprehended and tortured.
