The federal government forces backed by Jubbaland regional forces have yesterday reportedly neutralized Alshabab ring leader who was famously identified as Goobe.
According to close confidant sources ‘ ‘Goobe’ and his body guards were yesterday killed by the federal government forces and Jubaland forces after targeted operations in Lower Jubba Region.
Goobe was reportedly a bomb expert who the locals identified as the mastermind behind many explosions in the region, particularly roadside IEDs.
The operations against “AS” have intensified in the region and the government forces have claimed success in the ongoing tough operations against Al-Shabab fighters in the region and promise to liberate the remaining areas.
The Somali Armed Forces, alongside regional forces and organised local forces known as Macawisley have reiterated their commitment to uprooting Al-Shabaab from all corners of the country, with a focus on protecting civilians and restoring governance in liberated regions.
