The Electoral Disputes Resolution Committee has announced that a complaint has been lodged against HOP # 067 seat which was recently declared to have been won by the acting director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) Yassin Farey.
A statement from the Dispute Resolution Committee said that the announcement of the official results of the election of Yasin Farey as a Member of Parliament has been suspended.
The Commission has informed the Federal Electoral Commission (FEC) of suspending the results of the HOP seat # 067 until the hearing and determination of the complaint lodged with the Disputes Commission.
The commission, in the statement also added that the investigation into the allegations, hearing of the parties involved in the case and the final decision of the case will take place within 7 days and the verdict delivered within the said period.
The acting director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) Yassin Farey was recently declared to have won the HOP # 067 seat, following an election in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug state.
