The Somali government has readied a force of 15,000 soldiers for the second phase of the operation against Al-Shabaab, according to Somalia’s security minister Mohamed Ahmed Sheikh Ali (Dudishe).
Over the past seven months, the government has been preparing and arming these troops for the country’s liberation, the Minister said.
“In the past 7 months, the government has prepared 15,000 additional troops, most of which have now gone to the battlefield,”
Minister Doodishe emphasized the commitment to eradicating Al-Shabaab and acknowledged the determination of the Somali people in this endeavor.
