Somali Deputy Prime Minister Meets UK Ambassador to Advance Key Bilateral Goals

Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Salah Jama, engaged in constructive discussions with UK Ambassador Mike Nithavrianakis, focusing on strengthening bilateral priorities to support Somalia’s path toward stability and development.
The high-level meeting addressed advancing the “One Person, One Vote” (1P1V) election system, finalizing Somalia’s constitutional review process, and fostering ongoing state-building and stabilization efforts in the country.

The talks underscored the United Kingdom’s commitment to assisting Somalia in its journey toward establishing a more inclusive and democratic governance framework, as well as reinforcing Somalia’s institutional and security structures.

Ambassador Nithavrianakis emphasized the UK’s support in helping Somalia achieve sustainable progress in these areas, aligning with mutual goals of a stable and prosperous Somali state.
