Somali community in Norway vow to back the ongoing operations against AS.

The leadrship of Somali community in Norway in a meeting held in Oslo, the country’s capital vowed to support the war against Al-Shabaab group.

The community promised to support the operations against AS saying that they are standing by the Federal Government Forces, Regional Government initiatives and the organized group known as Mawiisleyda that are fighting along the national army .

Officials speaking for the Somali community in Norway have announced that they are showing support to the Federal Government, State Governments and the People who have “taken up arms to fight AS” and liberate the Somali government from the group.

“In 2009 until now, they have killed many people. We commend the Somali government for fighting against the group who are killing the Somali people and taken their blood as right. We commend the Federal Government for its fight against the groups that invaded our country” said some of the Somali community in Norway who made brief remarks to the press after the meeting.

There has been an increase in the meetings of the Somali community living outside the country to discuss the situation in Somalia, especially the operations in Hir-Shabelle and Galmudug Regional Government Areas.

The President of the Federal Republic, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, said on November 19, 2022 that a strong campaign against AS is underway in the areas of the South West , while he announced that his government is committed to increasing these operations.

The President has this week been making a tour in regions that have liberated villages from the control of the group. The president boosted the moral of the community and commended the armed forces.
