President Deni of the Puntland Regional Government in Somalia addressed the issues related to drugs and substances abuse noting a number of personnel combating are also users.
He acknowledged that some of those responsible for tackling the problem are also involved in drug use.
Teeming it as unfortunate, President Deni urged military, officials, authorities, the public, and various sectors to collaborate in preventing drug-related problems.
” Those who are supposed to control the use of drugs are twice as many as the people who use them. It is unfortunate and we need to fight together. The people affected by it are increasing day by day.”, Deni said.
He expressed the government’s commitment to fighting drug trafficking and usage and called for support in these efforts.
He emphasized the need to control the rising drug use and its negative impacts on society. Despite the loss of officers in operations, the Puntland Regional Government remains dedicated to resolving the issue.
