Somali Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre met with members of the local community in Las Anod, the administrative capital of the North Eastern State, as part of his ongoing visit to the newly established federal member state.
The meeting brought together residents from Sool region, alongside federal officials and representatives of the North Eastern State administration. The Prime Minister listened to the views, concerns and recommendations presented by members of the community and praised the prevailing security situation in the area.
Prime Minister Hamza is expected to hold further meetings during his visit with officials from the North Eastern State administration, traditional elders and representatives of different sections of the local population.
His engagements are expected to focus on strengthening cooperation between the federal government and the state administration, as well as hearing directly from communities on issues affecting the region.
