Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is expected to officially inaugurate Jowhar Airport, also known as Mohamed Dheere Airport, today following its reconstruction by the Hirshabelle State administration.
During his visit to Jowhar, the President is also expected to attend the inauguration ceremony of the re-elected Hirshabelle President, Ali Abdullahi Hussein Guudlawe, and his deputy. He is expected to deliver a speech at the event.
Guudlawe has overseen the reconstruction of several public facilities in the state and pledged to develop additional key infrastructure projects.
The inauguration of Jowhar Airport is expected to enhance transport services and improve connectivity in the Hirshabelle State capital.
Jowhar Airport is expected to play a vital role in boosting economic activities, facilitating the movement of people and goods, improving access to essential services, and strengthening Jowhar’s connection with other parts of the country.
